Genesis-Trespass (1970)

This is the beginning of the golden age of Genesis, after a first album in which pop trends were what prevailed in the atmosphere that was breathed in that work, here the band took a radical turn to their sound, they polished it to the maxim with the result of an album with dynamism, rich in nuances, achieving one of the most beautiful and timeless records in the history of rock.
With a beautiful idyllic cover of a castle tower dramatically cut by a knife, this album is a perfect exercise in high-rise symphonic rock from start to finish.
All the songs are extremely symphonic delicacy, from the initial and delicious "Looking For Someone" to the rock and to some extent something visceral "The Knife", passing through the pastoral "Stagnation" or the dynamic and beautiful "Visions of Angels" .
"Trespass", is not only the first pages of a great book, it is also a masterpiece where on each page there are no verses, phrases or words that were not left over or were written with simple filling.
